LEANDRO
ALLOCHIS
¿How
do you have to be/look like to fit? ¿How do you accomplish
this goal? ¿Who generates these models of selection
and who incorporates and legitimize them? With this series
named Casting Leandro Allochis raises new portraits for diversity,
where the inclusion of the authentic, real, everyday man could
also have social visibility; a debate about the system of
appearances is today's society. His photographs present tips
for tolerance against the pressure of the fetish-consumist
society and its archetypes of a correct aesthetics. A critical
and emotional perspective about the standards of beauty.
Leandro Allochis was born in 1974, in a town in Santa Cruz.
He is a teacher of Art and developed great interest in photography,
design and Iconography. His images raise a debate about the
system of appearances in relationship with social uniforms,
common symbols, and gender construction. He has exhibited
his work in ARTEBA, Arte Clásica, C. Cultural Recoleta,
C. Cultural Borges, Espacio Ecléctico, among others.
